EXECUTIVE SEARCH · CHRO

Your next CHRO sets what the company tolerates. Choose accordingly.

Every people problem you'll manage for the next five years walks in through decisions this hire will own.

THE RECOGNITION

You’ve seen the CHRO who ran beautiful programs while the standards quietly bent. The programs weren’t the job. The tolerance was.

Research heritage since 1999 · 60%+ of the Fortune 500 have used Qualigence · 85% retention on placed candidates over 24 months

THE KIND OF QUESTION OUR INTERVIEW ASKS

“Tell me about the executive you told no - and what holding that line cost you.”

WHAT WE TEST

01

Where they've held a standard against a louder voice

02

How they've made selection a discipline, not a favor

03

Evidence of governing the front door, not mopping up behind it

THE SCIENCE

Why selection - the science under every service.

Most firms compete on access - who they know. We compete on evidence - what a candidate has actually done under pressure, tested against a definition of winning your team wrote down before the search opened. That is the 6-Step Performance Engine™: define winning, test identity and behavior against it, protect the standard through feedback and the decision.

It’s why 85% of our placed candidates are still performing at 24 months, and why 60%+ of the Fortune 500 have used Qualigence since 1999.

THE PLAN

STEP ONE

Book a strategy call - bring the role, the market, or the problem.

STEP TWO

We run it through the engine - research first, evidence over opinion, a standard that holds.

STEP THREE

You get performance - not activity reports. A hire still delivering at 24 months.

QUESTIONS

What separates a strong CHRO from one who runs programs without holding standards?

Programs are visible. Standards are not - until they break. The CHRO who runs beautiful initiatives while the tolerance quietly bends is hard to catch in an interview. We test for it directly: who they told no, what holding the line cost them, and what the organization looked like afterward. That evidence is what a resume never shows.

How do you evaluate a CHRO candidate's selection discipline?

We ask them to show us the hiring decisions they made against recommendation, the roles they closed because the standard wasn't met, and how they designed the process when instinct kept overriding it. A CHRO who treats selection as a favor rather than a discipline cannot build an organization that hires well. We test which one we are looking at.

What does the written evidence file include for a CHRO finalist?

For each finalist: the people leadership outcomes the role requires at 90 days, 6 months, and 12 months; the specific tolerance and selection behaviors we evaluated; the evidence gathered; the remaining risk; and our recommendation. Your board receives a decision document, not a culture-fit impression.

Hire the tolerance you want the company to have.
