Business Development Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Livonia and Cincinnati Offices
Role/Responsibilities:
Sales Function:
• Through continuous solicitation, sell Qualigence services to gain new
clients and achieve individual sales goals.
• Develop respectful relationships with clients and internal team.
• Deepen relationships with new and existing clients through consi
follow-up sales calls.
• Be highly organized and detail-oriented so that services provided meet
expectations of client.
• Use marketing and advertising efforts to engage communication and
interest with prospects.
• Serve as an internal conduit between all internal lines of business.
• Work simultaneously on a variety of assigned projects/clients.
• Individually or through Account Manager, prioritize client assignments
based on deadlines and client urgency.
• Efficiently document time spent on each project so that clients can be
invoiced accurately.
• Continuously identify ways to improve the sales process.
Position Requirements and Competencies:
• Minimum (1-3) years recruiting experience in a professional environment.
• Client service focused.
• Driven attitude that thrives success.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and interest in the recruiting industry.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fluid environment on a variety of projects daily.
• Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• PC Recruiter experience preferred.
Administration and Communication:
• Use existing sales communication tools to attract new clients to
Qualigence services.
• When orders are received, ask appropriate questions to obtain as much
information as possible in order to provide accurate project details to
research and/or recruiting.
• If a project has time restrictions, make sure they are communicated at the
inception of the project.
• Individually or through Account Manager, work closely with research
and/or recruiting managers to obtain up-to-date project status.
• Individually or through Account Manager, manage client relationship by
providing project status on a continual basis.
• Be an effective team player in an atmosphere where the overall objective
is to meet our clients’ research and recruiting deadlines.
• Currently reporting to CEO where the status of client projects and
business development is communicated on a regular basis.
• Maintain sales database with current contact information and all sales
related activity.
• Involve CEO and/or COO when sales challenges arise.
• Represent Qualigence professionally in both physical and telephone
format through strong presentation skills.
Share best practice sales techniques with other BDO’s in order to
• enhance the effectiveness of others.
Position Requirements and Competencies
• 2-5 Years Sales Experience required, outside sales preferred.
• Strong Phone and Face-to-Face Persuasive Communication Skills; must
be able to build instant rapport.
• Ability to Multi-Task

• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Knowledge and Interest in the Recruiting Industry
• Ability to work in a fluid environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows based applications
• Knowledge/Experience using Salesforce.com preferred, but not
required.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or (3-5) years in
sales or commensurate combination of education and experience.
